Independent Brief
Introduction
Predominantly, for my independence project, I am using “Aesthetic” as my topic for the brief. The word aesthetic defines the things that are beautiful and mesmerizing around us Schrader (2018). In today’s society, aesthetics can be seen in so many various ways and forms such as appreciating and valuing those mundane things around us. For instance, any random object, nature and things that look dull however when it is discovered deeper, the outcome can be seen in a more aesthetic way. This shows that, we should never take things for granted, learn to appreciate what we have before, soon it's no longer to appreciate. Cherish every little moment and joy around us. In order to achieve and understand my topic more extensively, I have narrowed it down to “The Hidden Aesthetic To Our Eyes”. Based on my research and findings, I am required to find out more than just the aesthetic itself. Exploring my boundary to seek various outcomes regarding the brief. According to Jodie (2019), her article mentioned that things that are surrounded in our daily life and environment, it brings a significant effect on people’s happiness which includes history, green spaces, beautiful architecture and others more. In addition to that, experiencing beauty in a deeper sense, it will alter our emotions and make us feel happier about the particular subject. Aesthetics are able to connect our ability to reflect and appreciate the unseen beauty around us. Nevertheless, in the subsequent paragraphs I will further elaborate and explain my rationale and design process towards my topic.
External Brief
Introduction
First and foremost, for my external project, I am using “Aesthetic” as my topic for the brief that I have proposed. The word aesthetic defines the things that are eye-catching and mesmerizing around us Schrader (2018). In today’s modern world, aesthetics can be seen in so many various ways and forms such as using aesthetic words as a form of motivation and encouragement for the students, to benefit their education. Few examples of motivational words such as work hard, study smart, do not give up it takes time and others more, will provoke a positive emotion in the student’s mindset when learning. This shows that students have to cherish the beauty and meaning of every word. In order to achieve and understand my topic more extensively, I have narrowed it down to “The Aesthetic of Words”. Based on my findings and ideas, I am required to explore more than the aesthetic of words itself. Interpreting it differently, it will showcase a deeper context towards the users. Through my findings, words do change our brain in the way we think and reflect it. Every word has a strong influence which can alter our expression, strengthening areas in our frontal lobes and promoting the brain’s cognitive functioning. Thus, it physiologically motivates our brain to visualize it differently (Newberg and Waldman, 2018). Nevertheless, in the subsequent paragraphs I will further elaborate and explain my rationale and design process towards my topic.
