An Irish bookmaker on Paddy Power launched the “right behind gay footballers” campaign in partnership with Stonewall in 2013, which was devised by Crispin Porter & Bogusky and created by Lucky Generals. (Lee, 2014)
The purpose of it is to encouraged footballers to wear rainbow laces to stand against homophobia in the sport and creating a supportive environment for the players. The director of Paddy Power’s - Christian Woolfenden was impressed by Luke Generals campaign. The ad campaign addresses the fact that there seem to be no gay players in soccer.
