Among three of my friends that I've interviewed, I've chosen Peer Pressure as my topic for photo-novel because this aspects plays an important role towards society and it has a wider context for it. The inspired story was he went through peer pressure which influences him with negative behaviour & bad attitude. Thus, he is having an issues on trying to fit into society. So what is peer pressure? It is when someone is being influenced by other people which is your peers to act in a certain way. For instance, by doing something that people typically would not do and they convince them to do what they are doing. As a result, this may lead them to have a negative / positive impact towards society. (Heberle & Levitas, n.d.)

Moreover, I have also find out that there were 6 different types of peer pressure such as spoken peer pressure - when a teenager persuades another friends to engage in a specific behaviour, unspoken peer pressure - students being exposed to the actions of their friends and choose whether they want to follow along, direct peer pressure - it is a behaviour-centric, indirect peer pressure - strong influence by friends, negative peer pressure - engage in behaviour that is against the moral code or family values and positive peer pressure - influence by a good and appropriate behaviours. How does it relates to a bigger context? According to a case study that I’ve found online, younger age groups such as children and teenagers from age 10-18 are most likely to get influences by their peers. (Steinberg & Monahan, n.d.)
Not only that, students in their high school years play an immense and important role in shaping the person that they are going to become. However, this can also affect the students studies during their high school year, filled with a variety of emotions which includes happiness, anger, sadness, jealousy, isolation, stress and a numerous amount more. In addition, this can also include influencing another peers to drink, smoke, cheat on a test, participate in sexual activities, lying, skipping class and others more. (Damm, 2017)
This to be said most of the time peer pressure is commonly affect by a majority of teens. As a result, this can lead them to have depression, high stress levels, negative behaviour issues, poor decision making and others more. (Damm, 2017)
Furthermore, there is one quote I can relate to peer pressure is that “I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine” (quote by Bruce Lee.) It means there is no one intends to make serious mistakes. They come when people compromise our standards to be more accepted by others. “This will lead us to be the strong one. “You be the leader.” Choose good friends and resist peer pressure together. (Bruce Lee & Scott, n.d.)
In my upcoming progress I've to research more in-depth about the practitioners and cinematographer. Not to mention, I've to look on what emotion and technique does the cinematographer / practitioners express in order to apply to my photonovel story.
